Marketing Assistant / Event Planner

Technobis is looking for a driven and agile marketing assistant with a strong focus on event planning, to support our global marketing & sales team!

Job type: part time (16-24 hours per week)

About the role

Your main focus is organizing commercial events like tradeshows, workshops, and webinars. Next to that, different operational marketing activities are part of your daily work. In this highly cross-functional role, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of industry events and conferences, including pre-event marketing activities, ensuring smooth progress on the event day, and post-event performance evaluation. You will also support with marketing activities that directly engage our audiences, such as creating content for our website, newsletters and social media. A challenging and never-a-dull-moment job within a growing company.

Role responsibilities

  • Organize the participation at worldwide B2B tradeshows:
    - Create and manage the yearly tradeshows calendar
    - Submit all requested materials for each tradeshow (e.g. booth, flyers, goodies etc.)
    - Prepare marketing & communication messages to be published on the tradeshow website, as well as on Technobis' own channels (website, LinkedIn, newsletter etc.)
    - Administrative support: contracts and sponsorships
    - Communicate deadlines to parties involved (mostly internal)
  • Organise Technobis' own workshops: from planning the venue details, managing invites and registrations, to promoting the workshop on various channels
  • Develop marketing materials such as flyers, adverts, booth designs etc., partly yourself, partly with a graphical designer
  • Order marketing materials and maintain inventory management
  • Prepare the monthly newsletters and webinars
  • Support with creating and implementing the website and social media content

Your profile

Education and work experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Business
  • 2+ years of experience working in marketing, communications, public relations, or event management positions

  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely among all levels in the organization, as well as with customers and potential business contacts
  • Project management skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects
  • Strong follow-up on action items
  • Reliable, resourceful, pragmatic, and readily adaptable to changing circumstances
  • The wish to work in a fast-paced, global, team-focused organization
  • Fluent in English, verbally as well as in writing. Because of the international character of our organization, business English is the main language
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient with website CMS (Wordpress) and social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube)
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools (Canva, Figma) to create simple designs in-house. Familiarity with coordinating the design and production of marketing materials with a graphic designer and printer
  • Previous experience in email marketing is a plus
  • Knowledge of video/audio recording technology is a plus

Further information

The marketing assistant / event planner is a hybrid role (work from home and office).
