Ensuring reproducibility with automated sampling

Accurate and reproducible sampling is critical in ensuring that aliquots represent the bulk reactor contents, particularly when scaling up chemical processes from the laboratory to industrial levels. Inconsistent sampling can lead to erroneous conclusions about reaction progress, yield, and product quality.

This application note presents a detailed evaluation of sampling reproducibility for both homogeneous and heterogeneous mixtures using the ReactALL™ multiple reactor system with automated sampling, as performed by Hawkins et al. [1] The study compares the performance of the automated system against manual sampling methods to validate the instrument’s reliability.
