Transforming lab automation for leading pharma

Technobis’ ReactALL™ instrument is driving the next wave of lab automation in chemical process R&D. Designed from the ground up to integrate seamlessly into automated workflows, ReactALL is proving its value in high-impact environments – including Pfizer and AstraZeneca labs.

Why automate reaction screening?

In modern process chemistry, automation isn’t a luxury –  it’s a necessity. Automated reaction screening lets you run more experiments, more reliably, with minimal manual intervention. You save time, reduce human error, and generate richer datasets. These benefits are built into ReactALL.

What makes ReactALL automation-ready?

  • SmartCap™ technology: Each of ReactALL’s five small reactors uses our proprietary SmartCap design to automate sampling without piercing the septa. This ensures clean, zero-loss sampling, even for heterogeneous reactions.
  • Automated sample-quench-dilute sequence: ReactALL performs a fully automated sequence – sampling, quenching, diluting, and rinsing – directly into standard HPLC vials, making it perfectly compatible with downstream analytics.
  • Open APIs: The software powering ReactALL is built with automation in mind. It includes an API package that allows integration with robotic systems, scheduling software, LIMS, and more.
  • Robotics-compatible hardware: The design also considers the physical interface for robots – ReactALL’s vial trays are accessible so that robotic arms can pick them up and transport them to HPLC or LC-MS systems.
  • Real-time monitoring: Built-in color cameras provide real-time information on particle formation, turbidity, and phase behavior. Optionally, integrated Raman spectroscopy can monitor chemical composition continuously.
  • Contactless thermal control: ReactALL uses non-invasive thermopile sensors to monitor temperature in real time, allowing precise thermal profiling and feedback control.
  • Efficiency gains: By automating much of the sampling process, users can reclaim up to 76% of their experiment time, running overnight and unattended.
  • Automated dosing option: For even more automation, ReactALL can be paired with DoseALL, a multi-syringe dosing module that allows unattended reagent addition.

Real-world impact: Pharma automation in action

ReactALL is already being used in automated workflows at global pharma companies like Pfizer and AstraZeneca, enabling them to drastically speed up route scouting, reaction screening, and optimization.

Thanks to its automation, ReactALL helps labs generate reproducible, data-rich kinetic and profiling experiments – often with minimal human oversight.

Built for the Lab of the Future

At Technobis, we're committed to building instruments not just for today’s chemists – but for tomorrow’s automated labs. ReactALL embodies that vision:

  • Designed with open APIs, so you can integrate it with your existing automation infrastructure.
  • Hardware is robot-friendly, with cap designs and vial-accessible trays engineered for robotic arms.
  • Compact footprint but powerful performance – ReactALL lets you run five independent, temperature-controlled reactors (-25 °C to 150 °C) in parallel.
